and learning about the EcoQuest Program in New Zealand in 2009.
Professor Dell's teaching and research interests include American constitutional, presidential, and environmental politics. In addition to publishing on these research interests, Professor Dell is also committed to professional and community service. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and Founding Board of Project Vote Smart, the country's leading non-partisan voter information organization, as well as the environmental advisory committee of the Greensboro Public Library. Most recently, Professor Dell traveled to Jakarta and Medan in Indonesia as part of a U.S. State Department program to promote, sustain and strengthen democracy and environmental protection. However, Professor Dell considers the accomplishments of his students to be his greatest professional goal. In his first four years at Guilford, advisees of Professor Dell have interned with such political bodies and offices as the Environmental Protection Agency, United Kingdom Parliament, the United States Congress, Institute for Policy Studies, the Democratic Party of North Carolina, and the Guilford County District Attorney's Office, the City of Greensboro, the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, and Greenpeace. Professor Dell also greatly enjoys leading study abroad field work, such as the 2006 course to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. Professor Dell's students have graduated from Guilford and gone on to enjoy professional careers on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. as well as placement in some of the world's most prestigous law and graduate schools, such as the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, University of Oregon, and Tulane University.
