Nebulae

In addition to billions of stars, our galaxy contains thousands of nebulae. Many of these can be observed with small telescopes on nights with no moon. The Guilford College Cline Observatory will have a short multimedia presentation on the nature of nebulae and how to best observe them at 7:00 on Sunday November 5th. The presentation will be followed by a tour of the observatory and viewing through the main telescope if the weather permits. Since the moon will just rising, several nebulae should be visible.
